* In response to a French cease fire offer, on Tuesday 12/30/2008, Hamas increased and broadened the missile barrage on Israeli villages signing that they have no intention to except Israeli conditions, which the Hamas considers as capitulation. Over 65 rockets were fired to Israel, half of them to a distance of over 30 km to the heartland of Israel -from Beersheba in the south up to Gedera in the North - just 40 km away from Tel Aviv. The Hamas response almost forced Israel to reject the "humanitarian cease fire", as the French described it, and signaled a weakness in Israels' initial determination.
* The growing involvement of the International community and Human rights organizations and the exhaustion of the air campaign gave the Palestinian the hope that more durability, patience and determination with a constant shelling of Israel will eventually turn the course of the war to their favor and the Israeli public, with memories from the summer 2006 war against the Hizbullah in Lebanon, against its own government.
* On Wednesday 12/31/2008 evening, the Gaza violence expended abroad to Europe, when a Muslim gunman shot two Israelis in the town of Odense, Denmark, a scenario which deeply concerns the Israelis (see - Odense Shooting).
* Clearly operation Cast Lead is, now, tending in favor of the Hamas in Gaza.
