Border Fence Under Attack Will Obama Tear It Down?

The New Mexico State University online newspaper Frontera NorteSur reports that construction of the fence on the Mexican border is the target of "reinvigorated opposition from border residents, elected officials, indigenous communities, human rights activists, and environmentalists."

According to the report, Texas State Senator Shapleigh would like to see the new president, Obama, "tear down this wall."

In Washington, Rep. Raul Grijalva is pushing legislation that would repeal the DHS authority to waive laws for border fencing.

"Many people are attacking the border fence but we hear little to nothing as to how well it's working," said Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol.

"The DEA recently reported that Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) represent the greatest organized crime threat to the United States, but no one seems to want to connect national security dots to the border fence," Spencer added.

Spencer said ABP will present the results of its two-year study of the border fence at a special news conference in Washington, D.C. on January 15. "If the media report what we have to say, I think you will hear the cry "finish the fence," he added.

No matter what country your from?-- if you slipped into America illegally you should go home.

BUILD THE FENCE as origionally mandated: A double fence with a ditch in between it. Vehicle barriers & motion sensors are a MUST.

I'm tired of paying welfare, ADC, ESL and MANY other give-aways to illegal aliens who refuse to a*similate and learn English.

Every time I pay my phone bill I grit my teeth, knowing that many dollars are spent by AT&T to hire the 'Press 2 for Spanish' operator.

Illegals from Mexico COST Americans MUCH MORE in taxes for social services and costs to jail them than the illegals save us by picking cheaper lettuce.

Whoever attempts to push through legislation that stops construction, or even tears down the border fence. Is either a corrupt business man, or an invader themselves.

We need the border fence to stop illegal immigration, not legal immigration and we need it to slow down the tide of human smuggling and drug trafficking as well.

The United states canâ€™t absorb the worlds poor, other countries have border control and so should we.
