Border Patrol agents seized over 17,991 pounds of marijuana valued at $14,392,800; 240 pounds of cocaine valued at $7,686,400; and $15,868 in cash. Agents arrested 5 sex offenders and 3 gang members. There were 11 rocking incidents.

El Centro Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in Calexico, California who had been previously convicted of the following: Lewd Acts with a Child, Inflicting Corporal Injury on Spouse, and Theft.
Laredo Sector - Border Patrol agents seized 240.2 pounds of cocaine valued at $7,686,400 along with $2,000 in U.S. currency and arrested a United States Citizen (USC) at the Laredo North Checkpoint. The subject arrived at the checkpoint driving a 2000 Peterbilt tractor trailer, when a Border Patrol canine alerted and a VACIS scan revealed 70 bundles of cocaine in the trailer.
Laredo Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested a USC and seized 1,578 pounds of marijuana valued at $1,269,760, a 2000 Freightliner tractor trailer at the checkpoint near Laredo, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer, and a search revealed the narcotics in several large duffel bags.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents rescued a Sector Prosecutions Assistant (PSA) and her mother from their home which was flooding due to Hurricane Dolly. The PSA and her mother were transported to the Harlingen station. Agents also rescued a family of four from a submerged vehicle and a five other individuals who were evacuated from a residence in Harlingen. All nine of the rescued individuals were transported to the Harlingen South Shelter in Harlingen, Texas.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents rescued one adult female and two minor children from their flooded home in Harlingen, Texas. Agents transported the subjects to the Harlingen Station for shelter.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested a USC and seized 9,651 pounds of marijuana valued at $7,721,120.00, and a 1998 Freightliner tractor trailer at the checkpoint near Sarita, Texas. The subject presented himself for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer. A search of the trailer revealed the narcotics concealed within a commercial shipment of cotton seed.

El Centro Sector - Border Patrol agents reported that an unidentified subject in Mexico launched a metal ball with a sling shot at agents near Calexico, California. The agents were apprehending a group of illegal aliens when the incident occurred. No injuries or damage was reported. The subject retreated further into Mexico after additional agents responded.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents seized a 1998 Chevrolet Astro Van and a 1993 Chevrolet Astro Van containing 1,180 pounds of marijuana valued at $943,920 near Hidalgo Texas. The drivers of the vehicles absconded into Mexico. The Astro Van had been reported stolen.

El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Santa Teresa, Texas who had an active warrant of arrest for failure to appear on sexual assault charges issued by the Barron County, Wisconsin.
Rio Grande Valley Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Honduras near Rivera, Texas who was a member of the Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) gang. The subject had been previously removed from the U.S. and had a criminal history including an arrest for possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents rescued two illegal aliens from Mexico near Vamori, Arizona when CBP Air & Marine spotted a smoke signal and requested agents to respond. Agents responded and found one of the subjects unresponsive. First aid was administered and a medical helicopter responded and transported the subject to a hospital in Tucson, where she was admitted. The subject's condition deteriorated and she slipped into a comma.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents were fired upon by at least one unidentified subject while conducting operations in the McGeeville Ranch. Agents heard the "crack" of at least one firearm and saw rounds hit the ground near their feet. The agents returned fire, but it is unknown if the shooter was struck. Additional agents from the Nogales and Tucson Stations responded and established a security perimeter to assist the agents in their retreat. No injuries or arrests were reported.

Del Rio Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Honduras who had been previously removed from the U.S. The subject was also a member of the MS-13 gang.
El Centro Sector - Border Patrol agents seized 7,160 pounds of marijuana valued at $5,728,000 and a 2005 GMC cargo truck inside a truck lot in Calexico, California. Agents obtained information concerning a suspicious cargo truck parked inside the lot. Agents responded and received permission from the lot manager to search the truck lot and found a cargo truck matching the description given. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the cargo truck and agents discovered 309 bundles of marijuana inside its cargo box.
San Diego Sector - A Border Patrol agent was assaulted by an illegal alien from Mexico after responding to a report of three unidentified subjects running north from the International Boundary near San Ysidro, California. As agents responded, the three subjects ran in different directions in an attempt to evade the agents. One of the subjects became very combative, attempted to strike the agent several times, and also attempted to grab the agent's Service duty belt. The agent deployed his Service issued oleoresin capsicum spray and was able to subdue and arrest the subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

Blaine Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested four subjects near Blaine, Washington in connection with a burglary. During immigration-related questioning of the subjects, agents received information from the Blaine Police Department (BPD) about a burglary at a local liquor store. A consent search of the subjects' back pack revealed six bottles of liquor possibly tying them to the local liquor store burglary. All subjects were taken to the Border Patrol Station for further investigation. BPD took custody of all four subjects.
San Diego Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico and seized a 1997 GMC Yukon when agents performed a vehicle stop and the subject attempted to abscond on foot. Once in custody, the subject complained that his arm was broken. The subject was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for a broken arm. Record checks revealed that the subject had been previously deported from the U.S. as an aggravated felon stemming from a conviction of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamines.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico who had been previously removed from the U.S. as an aggravated felon and had an active warrant of arrest for Sexual Conduct with a Minor issued by the Pima County, Arizona Z Sheriff's Office.

Del Rio Sector - An unidentified boat rammed a Border Patrol vessel on Amistad Lake near Comstock, Texas. Agents attempted to intercept the vessel after observing the boat enter illegally from Mexico. In an attempt to elude the agents, the boat turned towards the agents' vessel and rammed it, and then retreated to Mexico. No apprehensions were made and no injuries were reported. The Border Patrol boat sustained damage to the cowling which covers the engine.
El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested two USC juveniles under the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso, Texas. The two subjects initially claimed to be Mexican citizens but later admitted they were USCs who had run away from their homes in Denver City, Texas. A search of their property revealed a BERSA .380 caliber pistol, a loaded magazine, and a box of .380 caliber ammunition. Record checks on the weapon were negative. Agents were advised of a BOLO indicating that the subjects were traveling in a stolen vehicle, which the agents located in a nearby parking lot. The parents of both subjects were notified of the location of their children. The El Paso Police Department took custody of the juveniles, the stolen car and the weapon.
El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas who had an active warrant of arrest for Failure to Appear for Sexual Assault on a Child in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Tubac, Arizona who had been previously convicted as a sex offender in 2000 and sentenced to two years in prison in Huntsville, Texas.

El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents rescued an unidentified male subject that was trapped inside a vehicle involved in a rollover accident near Deming, New Mexico. The agents extricated the subject from the vehicle. EMS responded and treated the subject.
El Paso Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico at the Greyhound Bus station in El Paso who was a member of the SURENO gang.
Grand Forks Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested a foreign national from Somalia who had three local warrants for his arrest. Grand Forks Police Department was notified, responded, and took custody of the subject.
Laredo Sector - Border Patrol agents arrested a USC and 12 illegal aliens, and seized $13,868 at the IH-35 checkpoint in Laredo, Texas. The subject was driving a 2006 Freightliner tractor trailer.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents attempted to perform a vehicle stop on a 1987 Buick Century traveling northbound near Robles Junction, Arizona. The driver of the vehicle attempted to ram into an agent's Border Patrol vehicle in order to elude arrest. A short distance later the vehicle ran out of gas at which time agents arrested the driver, a USC, and five illegal aliens. The driver is being charged with alien smuggling and assault on a Federal officer.
Tucson Sector - Border Patrol agents seized 1,638 pounds of marijuana valued at $1,310,080 and arrested a USC near Sasabe, Arizona. During a vehicle stop the agent noticed the odor of marijuana emitting from the truck. A canine search was conducted with a positive alert. A search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana concealed in the panels of the truck.
