Magen David Adom reported casualties on Jaffa Road, a main thoroughfare in downtown Jerusalem, and on Rashi and Sarei Yisrael streets.

The driver, who reportedly had a criminal record and was the holder of an Israeli (blue) identification card, was shot and killed by a SWAT officer near the old Shaare Zedek Medical Center. The terrorist was said to be 30-years-old.

A state of emergency was declared in Jerusalem following the attack.

Jerusalem Police Chief Aharon Franco told Channel 2 "a tractor driven by a terrorist began hitting vehicles and flipped over two buses. Apparently there are casualties at the scene; we don't have an exact number as of yet. We received no prior warning of a possible attack.

Live reporting from the scene is running continually on Israeli TV and the scenes are horrific.

Palestinians Storm Egyptian Border for the Second TimeA
t the same time as the terror attack in Jerusalem, a crisis erupted on the southern border of Gaza and Egypt.  Mobs of Palestinians have broken through the border fence once again, throwing stones at Egyptian border police.  The Egypians have begun firing into the crowds and using water cannons to disperse them.

Hundreds of Palestinians had gathered at the border crossing earlier this morning wanting to cross over but Egyptian forces kept them back.  Anger mounted throughout the morning until the mob took matters into their own hands.
