Following a four-year tradition of success in its national efforts, the U.S. Marshals Service, with assistance of its law enforcement partners conducted another successful Operation FALCON (Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally) from June 22-28. Led by the U.S. Marshals Service, Operation FALCON 2008 netted 140 arrests in the Northern District of West Virginia.

July 01, 2008 - Four southern Alabama counties were the focus of this year’s Operation FALCON. FALCON, the acronym for Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally, was conducted in the Southern District of Alabama by 89 law enforcement officers from 26 local, state, and federal agencies. Targeted fugitives were wanted for crimes of violence, sex offenders, gang members and narcotics violations. The effort cleared 120 felony warrants.

July 01, 2008 - Following a four-year tradition of success in its national efforts, the U.S. Marshals Service locally conducted another successful Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally) from June 16 – 27. Led by the U.S. Marshals, Operation FALCON 2008 netted 333 arrests within the Southern District of Indiana.

June 30, 2008 - Following a four-year tradition of success in its national efforts, the U.S. Marshals Service locally conducted another successful Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally) from June 23 – 27. Led by the U.S. Marshals, Operation FALCON 2008 netted 211arrests and cleared 306 warrants within the Northern District of Indiana.

June 30, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals, in coordination with 25 other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies conducted a six day enforcement operation from June 23 to June 28. Operation FALCON, standing for Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally, targeted violent felons, gang members, and sex offenders. FALCON 2008 captured 69 fugitives and cleared 83 warrants in Alaska for crimes including failures to register as a sex offender, distribution of child pornography, drug offenses, assault, burglary, robbery and theft.

June 30, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF) coordinated the efforts of local, state and federal law enforcement for a four-day fugitive apprehension effort last week, June 24 – 27. FALCON, the acronym for Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally, soared into the Tri County Metro area and reached all the way to Umatilla County. FALCON 2008 was the shortest week as compared to previous FALCON missions but it packed a punch with 93 total arrests and 122 warrants cleared (some offenders had multiple warrants).
