It would it most instructive to remind the reader that Ahmed Bedier, the executive director of the Tampa, Florida chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), offered very shortly after the arrest in Goose Creek, South Carolina of MOHAMED and MEGAHED the abortive disarming comment that both were just “really naïve kids.” Bunk Mr. Bedier, pure, unadulterated bunk. These two adult men are Islamic jihadists in the purest sense of the word. They are no different than “enemy combatants” plucked from the soil of Afghanistan, and that they were plucked from the soil of South Carolina makes them Islamic insurgents on American soil. Read more below. Are these jihadists innocent of waging jihad on American soil until proven guilty? Yes, that is American law. However this must be considered in the context of what MOHAMED freely admitted to American authorities (as reported by FoxNews ) back in October 2007 that the video he made and distributed on the internet was a jihadi tutorial on how to turn a toy into a remote controlled detonation and ignition system in order to “assist those persons in Arabic countries to defend themselves against the infidels invading their countries.” Right, that’s why MOHAMED had the explosives and other bomb making paraphernalia in the trunk of the car and the instructional video on the laptop which was unsuccessfully hidden under the seat at the time of the arrest.
