I just heard from the office of Jay Alan Sekulow at the American Center for Law and Justice, and Michael Newdow from Freedom From Religion Foundation has filed suit yet again to remove "under God" from our Pledge of Allegiance. I pray that this atheists efforts will only rally the troops against him.
From the ACLJ website: Save the Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance — including the phrase “one nation under God” — is part of our cultural landscape and rich religious history. But sadly, it has become part of a never-ending legal challenge. Once again, a lawsuit has been filed against Congress that the Pledge is unconstitutional — that the phrase “under God” fosters divisiveness and is a violation of the separation of church and state. As it has in the past, the ACLJ is standing in firm support of the Pledge — preparing to file amicus briefs in Freedom From Religion Foundation v. Congress on behalf of members of Congress ... and on behalf of those who join our Committee to Protect “Under God.” We must stand in support of the Pledge and protect the phrase “one nation under God.” Please read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by joining our Committee to Protect “Under God.”
